As part of the ALICE Project, United Ways of Tennessee is launching a COVID-19 Impact Survey to better understand the effects of the pandemic on households. Survey questions will cover issues including those about childcare, Afterschool opportunities, and the availability of technology for remote education and working from home. We need at least 3,000 responses so it can be as accurate as possible, so share it with your friends, family, and coworkers. The survey is sponsored in part by the Tennessee Afterschool Network and can be accessed through September 30 at the link below:
What is the ALICE Project? United Ways of Tennessee launched a statewide data project, ALICE, which provides a comprehensive measure of financial hardship across our state. ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.
The ALICE reports tell the story of our community members who are going to work but are still struggling to survive, through a standardized methodology that assesses the cost of living in every county. ALICE is our neighbors, friends and family who may earn more than the official Federal Poverty Level, but still cannot afford the basic necessities for their family.
