Grant Competition: Lottery for Education Afterschool Programs

In preparation for the upcoming Lottery for Education Afterschool Programs (LEAPs) grant competition, the Tennessee Department of Education, Office of Whole Child Supports will be hosting technical assistance workshops.

Prospective applicants will learn about the application process and the requirements for implementing the LEAPs grant. The request for applications will be made available at a later date to ensure that all applicants have the same duration to apply. Prospective applicants should plan to participate in one of the following technical assistance workshops:

  • Feb. 24, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. eastern time, at 1811 Roanoke Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37406.
  • Feb. 25, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. central time, at Dyersburg Chamber of Commerce, 2000 Commerce Avenue, Dyersburg, TN 38024.
  • Feb. 27, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. OR 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. eastern time, at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley, 967 Irwin Street, Knoxville, TN 37917. This is the only workshop that requires registration. Space is limited for this workshop location.
  • Feb. 28, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. central time, at Wilson County Schools, Board Room, 415 Harding Drive, Lebanon, TN 37087.
