TAN Welcomes Jennifer Pettyjohn, Afterschool Ambassador

Jennifer Pettyjohn Afterschool Ambassador for Tennessee Afterschool NetworkJennifer Pettyjohn has 20+ years’ experience in non-profit management. Through the years, that career has taken her to 3 different United Way systems and other agencies including the YMCA, Girl Scouts, several animal rescue organizations and for the last 3 years as the Chief Executive Officer with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Clinch Valley, serving Anderson and Roane counties.

Jennifer is a Leadership Oak Ridge and Leadership Anderson County graduate, former Anderson County Chamber Ambassador, has served in several board positions for the Oak Ridge Breakfast Rotary Club and been a Girl Scout Troop Leader for 9 years. She is one of just 15 leaders from across the nation chosen this year to train and serve as an Ambassador with the Afterschool Alliance in Washington D.C. She shares a passion for their mission to increase awareness and communicate with policy makers in support of afterschool and summer learning programs.

A Florida native, Jennifer and her two children now live in West Knoxville and spend their time involved in youth sports, scouting and theatre.
